And pretty much any fish!  Types and availability will depend on where you are in the world!  With all the Omega 3 and high nutritional benefits, Fish is highly recommended to eat twice a week.

Paleo Vegetables

Almost all vegetables are considered Paleo.  Try to minimize consumption of starchy vegetables like sweet potatoes, yams and some squashes.  And learn your vegetables vs. legumes (ex. beans are actually a legume)

Fruits are an essential part of diet and life, full of vitamins.  Berries are especially good for our bodies - just remember to buy them organic!

Paleo Oils

For cooking/frying/baking:

  • Avocado oil

  • Macadamia oil
  • Walnut Oil
  • Sunflower Oil


Olive oil while very healthy and a staple in Mediterranean cooking and numerous recipes, should be consumed fresh as a salad topping, sauce additive or drizzled for flavour.  Its properties change at high temperatures and its actually not a great option for heating when cooking. 

 

Paleo Nuts

  • Walnuts
  • Almonds
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Pine Nuts
  • Hazelnuts
  • Cashews

Just stay in check when you dig into the nuts, they're easy, quick and delicious but some are high in fat and very caloric so try not to overdo it!
